The Board of Management provides strategic leadership, policy direction and oversight to ensure that Kenya Institute for the Blind fulfils its mandate to learners and persons with visual impairment across Kenya.

The Board of Management is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the Institute, approving policies, overseeing use of public resources and ensuring that KIB delivers high-quality, accessible services to learners, trainees and stakeholders.

  • Engages with the Ministry of Education and partners on key initiatives.
  • Ensures stakeholder voices, including those of persons with visual impairment, inform decision-making.
